Darkness My Old Friend

As I emerged from the dark tunnel

I realized I had not stepped into the light

Of a beautiful life

With a brilliant aura of serenity,

But into the darkness of reality.

Where honesty is made to be broken

And love does not shine.

Despite all of my gravel groveling through the tunnel

Life was unchanged

I was still sad and lonely

Trapped in an unhappy life.

My escape plan had not succeeded.

Perhaps I missed something in the undulating blackness.

A hidden fork that would have led me into a world of

Dreams come true .

Just try the other end of the dark tunnel. I promise you there will be light. Don't look for the dream world, but for reality and realize that it is even better.

Excellent sharing poem beautifully expressed. The problem is Sara, that in order to find light we always have to go through the dark. Too often we expect the dream to happen before we ever have it;-)...

Sara where there is darkness there has to be light!!

I will ask my Lord above to take you to that light if I may!!

More than that I can't offer you my friend...because I know how it feels to be in that tunnel...if you look good you wil see me walking right beside you!!

Love Tinka

Sara, Keep searching for that crossroads,,it's there. Give your eyes time to adjust to the darkness so that you can find your way out! Great write. Lisa
