Stuck in a structured society religion groove

Old man son of a preacher from the sunny down south
Now in in northern city out of time, out of touch
Labeled as a mental case by those in control
Searching for answers to the truths untold by tongue
Likes the bottle to ease his pain
Wife left poor man took kids somewhere out west
Now confused and broken nowhere left to go
But, deep inside is a big heart waiting to be sparked
A real nice man much more fit than most might know
Someday they will release the sane from the mental asylum
And lock up the Wall Street insane to a place where they really belong
Miracles come to us all where and when we least expect it
Like a walk-in man I once knew in a car who survived untouched by a head on locomotive train crash
That lonely man wandering alone in some northeast restless city
Just needs some good loving care by someone just like any one of us
So next time you see a stranger sitting alone down at your local coffee shop
Buy him or her warm cup of some good loving care
And take a break from your own self-indulgent life
And listen to their story about living and being
Because you just might be surprised by what they have to say to you
And you might just realize they too are just like you and me
And deep down somewhere inside the human spirit & soul we are all really just quite the same
