Strong and stubborn a patriot is put to rest today

Never silent on his beliefs and where he stood

On issues that occupied his heavy hearted mind

A family man who lived life according to his own values

A man who lived a full and long steady life

Loved by many by those who surrounded him

At some times we saw strain and frustration

But this only a mask to a deeper caring face

Only shown when his guard was down

In later days a more gentle man expressed

A deep love for his beloved wife who is now with him

We lost a one of a kind true American family man this week

Rest in peace, my friend, my grandpa, our grandpa, our father

God be with you
