I can sit here
I can listen
But I'll never find a way to understand
The same days
The same talk
And I'll never make it clear what I feel inside

Some may try
Some may fall
And what happens in a lifetime may not matter at all
Yet I'm here
Not by choice
When the weak pass me by I'll take a chance, raise my voice

A calm nite
Once again, now
Lying tied by darkness in my fear all alone
A choice way
Over the expected
Strained for what I've paid for by just staying true

Some may try
Some may fall
And what happens in a lifetime may not matter at all
Yet I'm here
Not by choice
When the weak pass me by I'll take a chance, raise my voice

The set rules
Carry on
Follow straightened footsteps on this well beaten path
The shroud sun
Peeks around, now
To only be recovered by well rehearsed lines

Some may try
Some may fall
And what happens in a lifetime may not matter at all
Yet I'm here
Not by choice
I've stood up aloud to reach out with my voice

Some may try
Some may fall
And what happens in a lifetime may not matter at all
Yet I'm here
Not by choice
When the weak pass me by I'll take a chance, raise my voice

Set rules
Lead us on, now
And the backbone of ourselves gets lost in the way

This is certainly a thought provoking work. Well done.
