These Walls

i hate how these walls stand
i hate how no one understands
the way i feel inside
time and time again the hurt
struggling for a time of no worse
but no one gives a damn

i tried to compromise
i tried
to see it through their eyes
but it seems they're always that one step ahead

step back
would ya let me relax
in this world that you call yours
hey now
stop showing me how
and give me my room to breathe
stop making my mind up, telling me what
only two years left and i don't give a f***
step back
let me relax
this world is not yours

back inside these walls again
familiar faces but never a friend
it's like i don't exist
they don't really say it, it's, just that they show it
amusing themselves, assuming i don't know it
i just plain don't fit in

i tried to compromise
i tried
to see it through their eyes
but it seems they're always that one step ahead

step back
would ya let me relax
in this world that you call yours
hey now
stop showing me how
and give me my room to breathe
stop making my mind up, telling me what
only two years left and i don't give a f***
step back
let me relax
this world is not yours

i tried to compromise
i tried
to see it through their eyes
but it seems they're always that one step ahead

step back
would ya let me relax
in this world that you call yours
hey now
stop showing me how
and give me my room to breathe
stop making my mind up, telling me what
only two years left and i don't give a f***
step back
let me relax
this world is not yours

step back
would ya let me relax
in this world that you call yours
hey now
stop showing me how
and give me my room to breathe
stop making my mind up, telling me what
only two years left and i don't give a f***
step back
let me relax
this world is not yours
