Illustrated poetry (my art/poem) envisioning myself 'in the wind.'
*************
In the Wind
Flying on the breath of wind--
no knowledge where it's blowing, has been.
Passionate, it's touch envelopes me.
Soar on promises of tomorrow ...
free, surfing on its' buoyancy.
I glide on wind, transparent me,
until the wind died.
Slowly settle as the wind wanes;
disappointed, lay, sob in the rain.
A white, fleece blanket covers me.
Pebble that I am--snuggled, swell!
Absorbant, my ego still not quelled.
Grew too big, ego cracked my shell.
Burst! Innards outside.
A worm on me ... caught ... became snack.
On its' back flown to Momma Hawk's shack.
Six mouths open, pecked worm slides in--
slipped thru crack, never going back.
Wing on another breath of wind.
Unknown: where it's blowing, has been
... but in breath abide.
