Have you ever seen naked evil
stripped to the soul . . . stalking those unaware?
Have you felt your hair stand, salute?
Don't give me that 'oh, shoot' . . . evil was there!
Sulfur suffocates . . .
please secure those gates!
Did evil stare back in the mirror?
Did you hear it softly whisper your name?
Its' yellow was in your own eyes
but, it's not just our outward appearance.
Evil corrupts us . . .
our feelings turn hard.
Ev'ry soul has a mind of its' own.
Have you ever smelled brimstone's odor?
Do you realize it would cause torment?
That's how it sneaks in unaware;
hate is soundless without feeling or care.
Sulfur suffocates . . .
please secure those gates!
Mute, unable to walk, evil crawls . . .
seeps into your marrow to warp our minds.
It can change its' color and shape,
and mimic people of righteousness.
Evil's within us . . .
blinds us to mercy.
We can fight the darkness with pure light.
Evil is invisible, imperfect.
Never e'er forget in Whom you believe.
