You cradled me
. . . in arms so tight
I snuggled up
. . . and slept the night
You bathed my soul
. . . in serene light
And calmed me so
. . . my heart's light soared high
. . . a beacon in the sky
You reached within
. . . pure ecstasy
Clutching my hand
. . . you guided me
Your smile was sweet
. . . it stole my heart
Still feel your warmth
. . . faith, hope and charity
. . . saw what life was meant to be
I shed sad tears
. . . when we did part
Our bodies merged
. . . one beating heart
You live inside
. . . internally
I cannot hide
. . . it’s you I still adore
. . . always, forevermore
