There's the ferris wheel
up n down, around
you go, if you like
repetition!
Merry-Go Round
and around, and around
silly, dizzy, enough
already!
Roller-coaster shakes rattles
rolls on, wild ride
where does it take you?
Grossly overrated!
Mechanical bull
Bucked off!
Time to exit the
amusement park
head for a new theme!
Two legs, on sand,
on grass, who cares...
Get into the quiet
hear your own self
ticking.
No distractions
no noise,
no feigned
frivolity..
Just me
the Sod I tread
Wind in my hair
sun on my face
lose the cobwebs
burn out the lingering
viruses!

Breaking away, Chezza? Good on ya, Mate! Well done, tired. Life seems to be an 'ABUSEment park.' Time to stop, breathe, and enjoy the gentle ride of Creation. =] Well done.
I like the breaking away feel of this poem as the reader can almost feel the liberration of heart, mind and soul. Really great write Cherry.

This is good. The "Amusement Park" metaphor sends a loud message of life and it phony little games that we all seem to play, sometimes we play them all of our lives. Looks like, to me, you have found a way to exit the phoniness and found a clear, uncluttered road to follow. And yes! You will find him. Just beware of backsliding into errors past.
