Perfect Opening

The sight of her,
opened perfectly
in nakedness,
(her inner arms
and wrists,
a raw
and angry
redness,
an open mouth,
an appetite
insatiable)
will haunt him
forever.

He presses fingers
into his eyelids,
trying
for the life of him
to forget.

And yet,
he remembers.
