When you love someone you'd give your life to give them the best you can. When you love someone you wouldn't rob their life in the waters by the sand. When you love someone & you felt inside that you couldn't be together. You would say good bye so their given a chance to live half happily ever after. When you love someone never think you can change the person they are inside. You will rip out their soul making them choose between themselves or you by their side. That might work for a short while because we ga ga over love. But down the road you cannot alter personalities in their soul. So when you love someone look at them & love them for who they are. Gaze deep within their eyes looking at their huge potential. There is no one perfect in this World. If you are searching for that you'll fail. So love someone half perfect sailing in the sunset with you .

Excellent write. There is so much truth in this poem. "There is no one perfect in this world." So true. However when you love someone more than life itself, their flaws can turn into a challenge that strenghtens your relationship. I really felt your emotions.

THIS IS THE TRUTH!!! Screw Dr. Phil and the rest...lol. Seriously, VERY good poetry! You touch all of the reasons in this. If you love someone--set them free. You got down to the core of it in this poem! Very good poetry. I enjoyed reading this. Made me smile. Excellent prose!
excellent message in this, marlene. my brother did exactly that with his first wife, who died after they were married 25 years. she was only 52 1/2 when she died; she suffered from severe jra and other health problems; yet, he loved her unconditionally, and he stayed by her side to the end. my daddy was also married to my mother, for nearly 40 years, before she died (13 years ago). my mom was sick with diabetes, and she suffered terribly. god be with those who chose to remain with their mates, even after their mates became sick! :( (((HUGS))) and much love, your friend, karen lynn in texas.
