Desires

My desires aren't all that secret.

I had lunch with my secret desire today.

Every time I go to a concert

I have a secret desire to haul myself back up on stage

and play those drums!

Every time I preach a sermon,

I have a secret desire to offer freedom to my listeners.

Every time I read your wonderful erotica,

it sparks many secret desires.

When I fall in my knees in confession

before the God I know so little about,

I want to hold Her and feel Her arms around me!

My passion for all of life propels me toward

the edge of the abyss that ultimately is found

beneath the folds of a cotton dress!

Although my heart bleeds with the transparency of who I am,

and others marvel at my authenticity,

I continue to become more real about who I am!
