Trying Hard to Live He left the money under the bridge. His heart was tired and his body heavy. Sitting on a park bench just watching the birds He thought of his dad and then he thought of her. He never found out if she had the baby. He never knew if it was his. Sorry he left, but can’t go back now. Looking at his watch, he went back to the bridge. The money was still there. Cop car drove slowly by. Why did he do it? They always seem to ask. They always seem to ask. Dayvid Graybill © 2009

poetic point well taken, "why did he do it" seems to be one of the main questions asked when someone loses it one way or another. This man here in my area went beserk, killed the neighbors dogs then went over and shot his neighbor, I guess he finally got tired of the dogs shitting on his lawn and his crappy neighbor not doing anything about it, eight million stories in the crazy city,
