He doesn’t"

If I were her, I would want to be hurt
with the truth
rather than destroyed with a lie
and this piece of heart speaking poetry
really speaks of a loving heart which
does not need to be torn...

I think this is wonderful, Dayvid, partly because it can be interpreted in so many ways. I like the way you have kept it terse. For me, it reminds me that love involves being honest with who we are, what we need and want, and having the nobility to give others that right too. I think this guy did her a favor by that honesty.

the one who cares the least about the relationship ultimately controls it. funny paradox that; but that's how it goes- new job, new city, he's gone, no tears. she'll be eating lots of ice cream getting over this one:-)

Dayvid, When it's over it's over.. We stay in the relationship because we know they still care and don't want to cause any pain...Everyone deserves to be happy so he did the right thing by moving on... Real to life poetry that I can relate to very well. Peace always, ~Chessly

It is sad when love is finally gone, but a level of care still remains. The 'other' still hangs on...wishing, hoping it still means.. something. Brilliantly written..the starkness of the layout and words hilight the situation...
