These drops of sand, untouched by human hands.
It just beats on, and it is silly that
We wait for time then hate it when it comes,

Despise when the drums double their beat,

Marching meters forward, coming up from the feet.

Einstein tried to find a way to slow time down,

Light speed ‘till the night freed the notion.

Dipping into the ocean of understanding,

It was the plan to keep time but a second away.

Try to catch up and even more is lost,

Relax, and let it fly by, but at what cost?

Spin fast and time lasts a little longer,

The artist tries to begin his Mona to freeze it.

Stretching fabric etched on canvas,

Save paint for another time.

Wait for another rhyme, as time ticks on.

Pulling humanity through the mold,

Soon youthful vigor grows old and seeks atonement.

Cold feet halted, gazing back at the sea of lost moments.

Like the night train coming for its conductors to start their shift,
No brakes, how did we as humans get on?
When will someone find the wisdom and vigor to jump?

Wondering how the train chugs on,
We move, we breathe, we mature,
We jump into a line to learn,
Waiting there for it to pick us up.

Sitting on this city bench writing my life down,
Wondering if the train ever crashes, I guess it happens,
We change air to water to solids to gold,
But we do not choose nor change time.

Like the parents you grew up with, or something
Like those first soulful lyrics in which you learned to start loving,
Always walking, but I never understood,
Not knowing time’s there, and it's there for good.

Without time you would never amount to anything,
Time may change, but it's always there for you.

Mom, where were you when I could only scream and fight?
Time taught me that it's fine; it's all right.
Where were you when I needed a hug?
Don't worry, time showed me how to love.

Now I fear I broke down and time has turned its back,
Still walking steadily onward, watching me, waiting
For me to ask him to stop again, until I learn,
That soon I will fall asleep, and when I wake,
Though I try to hold it back, a new day will dawn,
Forever.

Maybe my roots in time can teach me how to be a man,
Or find another story to stream with, dream with,
For now I'll sit here on a city bench listening to words,
Letting time fly fast, waiting to hear the anthem that heals time's hurt.

The Steel Chains of Love by Rose Rideout

I have taken pride in writing this novel as so many people have the wrong impression on bikers because they dress in leather clothing which is to protect themselves in case of an accident. The majority of bikers are known Policemen, Firemen, Doctors,
