Conjuring and conniving all the while.

She glanced at him, he stared at her.

Then the barroom started to stir.

The man dashed out the back-room door,

The man truly knows.

 

She follows in close behind him,

To an alleyway lit terribly dim.

She will use this man and be off with him,

As always her plans do go.

 

She finally catches this young man,

Sees he's younger, by a count on both hands,

But no matter to this whole devious plan;

A woman grows older but never grows old.

 

After a brief conversation of sorts,

They get into it in time terribly short.

Soothing and loving is his sport;

Oh, how this story grows.

 

This man is like none she's had before.

Terribly graceful, this man she adores!

One she will spare she has finally scored;

Oh, she's had her highs and lows!

 

"This man is one I will spare,"

She thought, "and maybe keep and maybe show care."

Change her ways, would she dare?

Things change as one grows old.

 

So they finally sleep wrapped up bounded so tight,

And she wakes up finally to blissful spurts of light.

Goes to wake the man up right,

As the man goes out the window!

 

The note he left was a short one,

"I know your tricks from your previous fun."

Oh, how this man has cocked his gun.

She quickly snares him 'fore he goes.

 

"It's true what you heard of the last of your kin.

But now i'm of the truly changed women."

She now knows she just lost what she never could win;

Alone she will grow old.
