You must have believed that eventually I'd see,
The true game through these lies you seem to breath.
But now i'll choke off this dream, although so soft,
This weight upon my chest finally broke off.

To see these shades of you,
What more could I do?
Keep playing these games 'till it ends up you lose.

So now I can finally fly from fallacy, though so high,
Without these chains of longing I reach the sky.
To view all these people all called you,
All you needed to do was simply to be true .

But 'stead I find these shades of you,
Not golden or blue,
But the crimson sword of pride that split me in two.

You go to him, then come back to me,
Loving all this jealousy so much you couldn't let it be,
And just stop while you were hot,
And put one more shot through all that i've brought.

'Till I found these shades of you,
Hidden away from view,
Well I'm done with this chapter, this pawn goes to you.

Evan, you write way beyond your life's years. For one so young I find a slice of age in your words. Great job here. Lisa

Though there are pieces to attack and defend, but best move that can decide a game is often a proper sacrifice...BRILLIANT work, Evan!

Yes, indeed a chess game of love and hurt. Remember the Queen is the most important piece in the game!. Love is were two people are looking in the same direction. Your poem was thoughtfull and sensitive.
I cheer your effort!
Cheers
Alain
