I tell them stuff
i seldom speak
except to me.

I like to think they listen.

I know I listen,
find it reassuring

when they speak to me
in raucous squalls
on wind-driven days

as they glide from the sea

and hover

within the outstretched reach
of my hand

and my rambling thoughts.

Anything that surrounds and incorporates the ocean is magnificent. Seagulls have a distinct mellow sound that brings peaceful feelings when heard, well said...

Be always safe,
Karen

Some of my most cherished memories are of my father taking us kids to the beach and dancing amongst the gulls throwing crumbs of bread to the wind....Thanks for bringing that memory back alive, Deborah:)
