You think I'm hostile now? Wait 'til you see me tonight.
Lisa ~ My Cousin Vinny

BACK TO BED

I know I felt a presence..like something's in the air
A chill was all around me....and settled on my chair
I thought I heard a whisper..a groan...and then a laugh
Tried to muster courage.....but lacked the nerve to ask!

I think I'll just ignore it, and it might fade away
Oh no!! Is that a shadow? It went from black to grey!
There's footsteps in the hallway!! I hear somebody pace!!
And suddenly I'm colder....and locked in an embrace!!

It's reaching for my pencil, and now its got my hand!
Writing words upon my page...that I can't understand!!
I feel it passing thru me......Oh no! It's right inside!
There's only room for one of us, PHUCK OFF...there's no free rides!!

I didn't choose this battle...but seems I've got no choice!
I opened up my mouth to roar......and heard another voice!
Im tawkin' out of both sides...of my very mouth
Stumbled over extra words....bit my tongue....CRIED! OUCH!

I told myself to shutup, there was so much to do
Heard myself start cussing.......up a streak of blue!!
Normally I'm laid back...relaxed......a bit lazy
Now I was a hurricane...demented......and crazy!!

Started spinning round 'n' round to echoes in my ears!
Twirled...shimmied...and strutted....feel upon my rear!
All this stuff was bouncing..round 'n' round ma head!
BOOM!!!
Was a dream! I hit the floor!
I'm goin' back ta bed!!

What a scarey nightmare. I loved this the way you wrote the whole thing. Very vivid ! Nice little catchy rythm to it.

Fascinating artwork here, Anita. Yep, I'm a fellow-sufferer of MMS- Monday Morning Syndrome. Except you're much more gracious than me - other people get the brunt of my grumpiness, rather than myself! I would agree that normally the alter-ego is obligingly all the things we might wish ourselves to be - but sometimes they give us hell, right? Who IS this person?! You took me there... thank goodness it IS nearly bedtime! TY Kate xx

Very cool write, and the picture is neat, too! Well done! (Sounds like my kinda' write; Karla is always fussin' a hissy because I can take one or two naps in a day and STILL get enough sleep while she is as wide awake as a hooty owl; drives her NUTS! LOL)

Loved it! Loved it! Yeah. It is so much fun when you can just let yourself go and put out things such as this. A masterpiece in its own right, I'm here to tell ya. Great stuff.
