Poem Artwork

Cookies Gotz No Brains

Cookie cutter, cookie cutter
Press a shape for me
The dough is rolled and flattened
Press a shape or three

Make a whole community
Of cookie cutter folks
Sugar and cholesteral
Diabetes.....strokes

High five  n'.........arms spread wide
Come and take a bite
Nybble, nybble on their feet
Take 'em down in height

Cavities and tooth decay
Won't show up for years
Munchies take priorities
Kiss me Cookie Dear!

Munch and crunch their little heads
Cookies feel no pain
If they did they'd run away

ha! ha!

They got no brains!

Yum!

Ohhh..which leg do I nibble on first? Actually, whem I allow myself to indulge, I'm an oatmeat/raisin/date fan...my grandmother's recipe. I eat one and send the rest to friends...spreading the disease I guess. they haven't asked me to stop sending yet! Just loved it!

Fresh-baked cookies, straight from the oven. Just one of the ways that Grandma would show her love.

Splendid yummy offering! An entertaining, yet serious poem, siting the affects of too much indulgence of those seductive sweet concoctions! Loved the poem. A keeper!

I like to torture them tiny cookie people, one leg at a time; then one arm at a time; then I dunk their heads in milk til they can't breathe; then I bite their heads off' and then I feed their dismembered bodies to my dogs!!!

Gotta love it! Fantastic play on words and giving everyone warning of danger to come. Great.

Inventive write for sure and a lesson hard learned by new mothers through the pain of the old, as I sit here taking my pills for heart, cholesterol, blood pressure and diabetes thinking about the cookies in the cupboard. lol

The poet herein sounds as if she knows well the effects of the dreaded cookie "munchies", as I have been there as well, more than I care to admit...hey pass me that cookie tray...Ed

"Running running...fast as you can...You can't catch me I'm the Gingerbread Man!"

Great poem that every person should have on their refrigerator, computer...wherever it can be recalled and digested.
