As All Beneath God's Sky Just one leaf, among many As thousands grow and die From highest branches all will fall Upon the wind's goodbye A lifespan in a season From verdant bud to brown Brittle fall into the grave Cushioned on the ground A child born as mortal A season's manifest A lifetime spent upon the earth Wtihin that fact, as blessed Just one life among many Yet equal in God's eye Each soul unique and precious As all beneath God's sky Pax A 2/13/08
