Yes, that is me under the bag!! Swear to God! Why I Was Born A Latin In Manhattan The Lord was in a giving mood, the day he said to me Its almost time to go to earth, to be who you shall be Remember child, when you arrive, I'll surely be right by your side Within your heart, my love resides...Trust in me to be your guide Then he said....... There are a few things we should discuss, before you go Like your location, and who you would want to know Might you prefer the heat, the wind the rain or cold? Life is suprising.....with all that it enfolds Showed me the tropics, the seas, and desert sands He had the great big world....right within his hands!!! You like the country? The city or the woods? A vast selection!!! And all of it looked good!!! Too many choices!!! Which one should I make??? I hesitated.....There was soooooo much at stake!!! He spun the world, on top his index finger He urged ...just point!!! Come now...don't you linger!!! I closed my eyes, and jabbed that spinning earth!! My Lord just laughed....lovingly....with mirth!!! The spot ya chose....was what I had in mind!!! And here YA pointed...wid ya eyes closed blind!! Holy Shamoly!!! My finger touched upon New York, on Sherman Avenue!!!!! Close to the Hudson River, with New Jersey in view!!! Ok Kiddo, there ya go...ON YOUR MARK, GET SET, GO LIVE!!! GIVE IT ALL YOUR HEART....AND ALL YA GOTTA GIVE!!! (Suddenly God had a Manhattan accent) WHODATHUNK???? Think that means something??? Jan '55 Was da day I came alive! Muuuhaaahaaa Anita 11/13/03

My finger touched upon New York, on Sherman Avenue!!!!!
Close to the Hudson River, with New Jersey in view!!!

Awesome imagery as I have stood on that exact corner.
