Midnight’s Dreaming

The sun hath kissed the moon good night

Upon this summer’s eve

Lovely hues paint ebbing light

Upon horizon’s sleeve

His golden hue ere gentle one

Now slowly dips below

Giving rise myriad of stars

A sight now to behold

For naught the world grows cold

Upon his setting rays

Ere slowly drifts below

Fades to another shade

Revealing midnights dreaming

As colors blend as one

As though we ebb together

Aurora from the sun

Upon the distance afore me

In brilliance to unfold

For colors of such beauty

For you I tender hold

Soft clouds framed by the dipping

Of the setting sun

Adorned as pillows touch me

Where dreamland soon be spun

I lay alone in silence

My window I doth peer

And take in all the crispness

My mind doth hold ye near

Slumber my dear fellow

Now bathed in soft moonlight

Let all my dreams enfold ye

Upon this summer night

Drift off to gentle moments

Let beauty form and sway

Of all in which yer given

For nature hath her way

Thy bed to softly rock ye

As oceans rocking wave

Off into sweet slumber

For yet another day

And when the sun awakes ye

Upon the morning’s dawn

Taste the drops of honey

I placed upon yer tongue

Savor all its sweetness

From whence upon it came

Upon a midnights dreaming

Your sweetness it became
