A poem about the afterlife.

Don’t mourn me

Don’t cry for me

I’m only visiting Club 2025 for a short time.

I dance here every night:

I dance to Stealer’s Wheel with Michael Madsen –

He wears a long-sleeved white shirt

And a 9 mm automatic handgun in a concealed carry rig.

Sometimes, I sit in a red, movie theatre chair

And listen to Rebekah Del Rio sing a Roy Orbison song

a capella, en español.

Rebekah wears a red flower in her hair

And a glittering teardrop under one eye

Her voice brings tears to my eyes

(Not glitter, but the real thing).

David Lynch directs the scene from an overhead rig

A Panavision camera whirring at his side.

A cigarette burning between his fingers

A smile on his face.

Sometimes, Club 2025 hosts artists from other clubs:

Roy Orbison from Club 1988 was here just the other night

To watch Rebekah sing his song.

One night, I danced to sly jazz

Belted by Amy Winehouse,

Who is contracted to Club 2011.

Christine McVie sat in the corner and accompanied Amy on piano

Then Christine sang one of her own tunes,

Asking “Why?” and begging her ex-lover not to

Give up on their love.

Christine ended her song early

Because she had to get back to Club 2022.

It’s a shame, really: Her piano went so well

With Amy’s voice.

Don’t mourn me

Don’t cry for me

I’m only visiting Club 2025 for a short time.

I’m here for the music.

Very entertaining. I miss Roy boy and Amy, like I miss Jimi and Janis when I visit Club 1970.

The Steel Chains of Love by Rose Rideout

I have taken pride in writing this novel as so many people have the wrong impression on bikers because they dress in leather clothing which is to protect themselves in case of an accident. The majority of bikers are known Policemen, Firemen, Doctors,
