Very conspicuous is this liquor shop indeed,
With their wine—so much rich and so thick!
The hoisting high-flying banners are so attractive;
Far and wide you see unbounded quantity of jugs.
I wonder why they drive such a slack trade—
It's just because they keep so many fierce dogs.
If a fellow wishes to drop in for some wine,
The dogs bite him and then off he runs.
