Well, Gals N' Guys - here's another "Brain Dropping" as George Carlin might call it. This lil inspiration came from the song lyrics of the movie. "The Sound of Music." Both Maria and Elida have three syllables, so they're kinda, sorta interchangeable, right? I really didn't bother to match the meter of the song, so don't be super-critical, OK? After all, it's the intention that counts, right? Hey, I claim "Poetic License" !!! The original I emailed to her (you know, the Phone # Lady) was slightly different. After re-reading it just now, I did some minor editing. As she told me she loved the original, I hope she believes that this is an improvement. Lem'me know - DOLL! OH - lest I forget - "Happy Halloween" to all you Trolls N' Ghouls out there! If interested, I moved two of my old pieces for the season, up to the top, for your perusal. BOO!

Or, simply to ASK --- “May I have this DANCE?” How do you solve a ‘problem’ like E-Lid-A ? Can she find it in her HEART, To meet a nice Ole Fart? Or, has she been ‘Burned’ before – And afraid of trying TRUE Romance? How do you solve a ‘problem’ like E-Lid-A ? Does she think that I’m just a NUT? With a Chubby lil GUT? A Jolly Ole Fella, who could be very Swell-A, ‘Cause he has a Cute Lil BUTT! How do you solve a ‘problem’ like E-Lid-A ? How do you make her SMILE? Or LAUGH? Is the answer in some “CROONIN’”? Or, must I resort to “MOONIN’”? No, No - Don’t go down that PATH! How do you solve a ‘problem’ like E-Lid-A ? Is she as Forth-right as she SAYS? Is Truth one of her Ways? Or, am I wasting my Time, Penning this silly RHYME? How do you solve a ‘problem’ like E-Lid-A ? Oh, how I wish I knew, I haven’t got a CLUE! So, I hope this Little Ditty, From a TomKat to a KITTY, Tells her I’m Wise and Witty - NOT A SHREW !!! ELIDA - move around the letters Just to show her how I feel --- They spell the answer --- IDEAL !!!
