I Am Not A Monster

It was a bright sunny day

A perfect day for chasing rabbits-

This big adorable lug- gotta get um-

Go Cujo- Go.

Heard a lot of barking-

Maybe he got one of those rascals-

It’s about time.

Time-

Strange thing-

Nobody seemed to have any for him.

So time went by.

It hurt-

That bite on the face-

There’s no understanding it.

This big adorable lug-

That big- yet invisible.

Day after day-

This is getting worse-

And nobody sees.

Really- nobody cares.

A child cares-

They often do-

And get ignored.

Worse and worse-

Pain and torment-

Left to maddening devices.

Nobody cares.

No vet visit-

No chance.

Mother nature is a bitch.

It hurts- and hurts- and hurts…

No more thirst for rabbits-

Just unquenchable thirst-

Increasing pain-

Crushing torment.

He has to stop it-

But it is everywhere now-

It is everyone now…

And he has to stop it.

Please- whatever you do-

Only hate indifference.
