Shooting Star If I enter your atmosphere- It is only to be burned… To be mistaken for what I am not- A speck of dust- briefly a star. My only hope- To skim back out Into the cosmic cold- Where frozen most deeply in my heart Is your image- And all it means to be hot. John H. Bidwell
