I Carry You I can’t explain the way we were- How love and dreams like that occur, Or how we crashed and burned so fast- With love that so seemed meant to last. But that’s the thing that gets to me, Was love just something I could see? A path cut off we can’t get through? I only know I carry you. There’s nothing time, nor circumstance Could do to stop me from my chance. I could not win, but had no clue- I only know I carry you. This day to day without a word- “Yes” to love, but so absurd. What do they mean by “Love is true ?” I only know I carry you Through every day and every trial- Your piercing eyes and precious smile- The drama took you from my view But still- somehow, I carry you. It is a burden to carry very well your deep expression or a feeling that you have touched in many of us have experienced something similar. Made me think of the line, "he ain't heavy, he's my brother."
