I sense the loss of a partner or friend. Someone that you could be comfortable with, but is now gone leaving you only with your own thoughts and no one to bounce them off of. In the last stanza the idea of, "Let it go for good, somehow," seems to bring closure to the solitude and the ability to get out into the fray again.
The Universe always needs Love…and love in YOUR Heart helps
to keep the world a kind and loving place as we are all connected…
We can give love away in the smallest ways that can make a big
impact on others…a smile at a stranger…a word with someone
who has no one else to speak to…a kind gesture of giving…
However, I do understand what you say…perhaps just a different
perception would help…
A heartfelt poem that touches the soul…
I admire your poetic structure here and your resolution to put a REAL 'pome' together properly, John. It's always great to read rhyming poems that not only rhyme, but that are mechanically well-constructed! And now, excuse me but I need to go pig out on some hygienically EXECRABLE 'comfort food', LoL (part of my own search for perfect 'completion', naturally)! Aloha, -K2
