Heart Dispute I tell my heart to let things go- A soul who I don’t even know- A friendly face, I held her hand- To say a prayer, it wasn’t planned. I held it for a while at least- Felt bitter sweet when we released She introduced herself to me- Our other hands so easily… I guess my awkward silence showed No matter- I must hit the road But smiles and warmth those moments gave A lot was spoken in a wave. Hush my heart- nothing to say- This all was just another day. It skips a beat, I know who’s boss- I gasp for breath and feel the loss. To feel like this for just a name- A soft warm hand, a candle flame. Special moments I still feel, Heart dispute, this time I’ll kneel. John H. Bidwell
