First there was groaning in the Spirit,
Letting other people hear it-
When pain became too much to be denied.
And when you therefore saw her weeping
All the secrets you were keeping
Were more then even you could hold inside.
The woman put such faith in you
But there was nothing you could do,
While Mary’s tears were more than you could bear-
I’m sure she looked in to your eyes
And heard those words, “The Master cries.”
Then death had lost to love that filled the air.
A later time and death would win
Because the world is filled with sin,
And can’t abide the truth you dared to speak,
Then once again your loving Mary
With such burdens she must carry
Will hear you ask her, “Who is it you seek?”
Then when she hears you call her name,
Though you were always hers to claim-
Your love will know you now belong to life.
But still for her, what is most real
Is what she always gets to feel,
Remembering that she had been your wife.
("Tell me where you have laid him, and I will take him away.") John 20.
The deceased body of Jesus is for Mary Magdalene to take. She must be next of kin.
