Enough

Removed is what I want to be
Without a trace for you to see
Just make myself a memory
Mistake that I was here.

Keep wishing that I never was
With love for all the good it does
That shouldn’t be at all because
It has to disappear.

For that is what it does each time
It matters not how high I climb
The waste of it is such a crime
If nothing else is clear.

How could I know I shouldn’t dream?
That things were not as they would seem?
My banishment just might redeem
For every painful tear.

So please forget the man you knew
Who said he was in love with you,
There’s nothing else that I can do
To take away the fear.
