Could one call this poetry? Let's call it a rhyme dedicated to all those moms who have to juggle a million things a day. Is my life like this? No, I will admit it is not but it gets pretty chaotic at times too. Enjoy!

Juggling Mum

Life is a constant battle

No doubt about that

It starts when you get married

And adopt a big stray cat

Then you bring home a puppy

Land up with one of every shoe

And you buy a fancy cage

For your talking cockatoo

But if this is not enough

To fill your life with misery

You have more mouths to feed

But you still feel so lonely

So along come all the kids

Then diapers filled with smelly poo

Always cleaning and never sleeping

What’s a working mum to do?

As a mother you’re often chained

Behind the wheel of your (taxi) car

Dropping and collecting

And burning up the tar

Housework, family and career

Are juggled like marbles in the sky

Oh stick a broom right up my butt

So I can sweep the floor as I go by

You are such a survivor and an eternal optimist. You make light of what could be downright drudgery. You are a well of surprises. Love. Regis

Extremely funny, but a wonderful tribute to Moms everywhere who somehow manage to juggle everything and do everything, and somehow miraculously feed those hungry pets and family members, yet seldom complain.

Hahaha! Chanti, the last two lines are funny...but wouldn't it hurt?...OUCH!

A fun read and some truths in this one. A mother's work is never done.

My mom says ‘If you can’t say anything nice then don’t say anything’. Sorry mom but under the guise of poetic license I penned these beauties.
