Seeing Beyond...
Cant you see beyond the here and now?
Why are you still living in the past?
The present may seem dark and desperate
But don't you know that it won't last?
Each day may be a struggle
Filled with uncertainty and fear
The road seems filled with potholes
The ship so hard to steer
But why do you grasp at nothing
And hold on with all your might?
Why do you ignore the blessings
And focus instead upon the plight?
Each day begins with dawn
And after dusk begins the night
The seasons keep on changing
Behind the clouds the sun shines bright
Memories may plague us
Yes, it's not easy to forget
But if we choose to dwell in darkness
We will live with nothing but regret
