I wrote this poem a long time ago but it was recently accepted for publication.

You, draped in darkness

and I swathed in new light

We wondered at the mystery

when our souls first took flight

An aching distance

spanned in suspense of time

Our souls bled with longing

With intensity, divine

As the first glow of dawn

chased through the sky,

I painted the pictures

and you responded inside.

Our hearts still so tender

though riddled with scars

Embraced in the skyline

in a river of stars

Chanti, this is an exceptionally well-written piece of emotive poetry, highlighting the unique challenges presented to two inhabitants living in different time zones trying to keep each other well informed. Although one wakes to a new day, as the other is getting ready to rest for the evening, they’re trying to share whatever precious moments they can through each other’s eyes. An excellent composition with outstanding imagery and stunning poetry pouring, off the page my friend. Congratulations on having this magnificent timeless creation being selected for publication! May you always continue to enjoy much success and have good fortune follow you and yours throughout your journey through time and space. Bravo!

Star studded writing, Chanti!!!
I am so happy it got published.
The graphic sets the tone beautifully, too.

Been trying for hours to access your page here.
Don't know why I couldn't. Even my tracking system
didn't sent me the notice. I had to look this up
on the Poetry Page.
