With all my heart in compassion.
I have no words...

COMPASSION

Precious angel, I feel the agony in your gentle heart

And in love I want to hold you, rest your head upon my chest

Stroke that tension from your face and make you feel loved again

The tenderness I feel for you brings empathic tears into my eyes

You are grown up now but at times as vulnerable as a child

Your body curled up and held close against mine

If I could I would take the pain from you,

Heal the ever-present ache

and make you whole

If only I could

I would

do it

You could (and probably are) be referred to as having "a heart of
gold," but I say you have one much softer and richer than any piece
of metal, however precious it be conceived.
This is magnificent in its compassionate scope, sublime in its
"reaching out."

Chanti, this is a very compassionate write...wouldn't it be great if we had the power to take away pain...luckily for us we can do it, if only briefly, by reading your healing poetry...I thoroughly enjoyed this...Fletcher B

Ahh, Chanti'... I felt my best friend as you wrote, felt her exactly. I taste her, now. I need to call her... She has three boys, me, two girls; an odd synchronicity considering our past. She is this poem. Thank you, Chanti', your sensitivity of mind if catching, loving and comforting.

Chanti, this is an exceptional beautifully prepared well-penned emotive declaration, which would definitely brighten the recipient of this timeless treasure my friend. After reading this remarkable piece I looked up the word compassion in the dictionary, and all I could find was a picture of you next to the word. Stunning composition. Thank you for sharing your poetic inspirations. Take care and be well.
