I do not know where this poem came from. It was one of those that found its way onto paper. hmmmm

I BELIEVE

Look into the mirror of my words
And see my soul
naked, unadorned
All the heartbreak,
anguish...pain
All that I have lost...
BUT THEN
All that I have gained

Read between the lines
Look through the night sky
to the dawn.
You'll hear the whispering of dreams
- the rainbow threaded through the storm

I BELIEVE!

We all need our rainbows. The challenge is to weather the storm long enough for it to appear. I'm still looking for mine, and I'm soaked to the bone.

Beautiful poetry, Chanti. This reads like golden links in a precious chain, seeing the end from the beginning. Or the co-ordinates of a nautical map, plotting the lines of adventure and the course of the Ship of Life as she makes her way across dangerous waters, yet assured of safe harbour at her journey's end. I BELIEVE in this and in you, too! You are a wonderful poetess of the heart and soul! :)) PS... thanks for lovely message. I will certainly check it out! xxx

A gently crafted poem that portrays the angst and hope in one wide -arcing sweep. As you say in the verse itself 'Read between the lines'.

You are naked, unadorned. You wish people to see you as you really are, to look beyond the facade, beyond the obvious. But you are also searching for the answer to a question that you are yet to know.

Curiously searching but softly worded verse Chanti. Well done.

Chanti,
What a wonderful thing that this poem has found its way onto paper, as it is an absolutely beautiful inspirational reflection. I, too, believe that we always gain from loss, as hard as it may be to nurture such belief, at times.
Thank you so much for your visit to my den, I loved my visit to yours and am looking forward to returning.

A.D. is STILL not notifying me of your poetry. My tracking system
is a colossal failure for the past few weeks!

Not so, however, this exquisite work of art in prose that set my
emotions tingling! And the graphic that goes with it. That is your
signature on that vibrant painting, is it not?
Both pieces...masterpieces...and they will be treasured. They have
touched this poet deeply.
