Never alone...
Love finds a way

Patterns Of Sand

As I walk with wonder
on soft sea sand
My eyes skim lightly
over the rolling swells,
gently teasing
a submissive shore
- then watch my feet
make salt puddle indents
and smile as those patterns
are wiped away by froth,
there...
then there no more

Accompanied only by
golden sun - a friendly foe
In deceptive calm
colour is air-brushed
upon my sensitive skin
Fine spray of droplets
cling tenderly
to the light downy hairs
upon my arms
as a sense of peace
radiates from within

I walk on my own
but then plainly see
another person
a little way ahead of me
- A solitary figure,
casting shadows on the sand
As I see, I know deep inside
that we will meet
And soon we are walking
as companions, side by side
I reach out tentatively
to take the proffered hand .

~~~~~~~
You were always with me
my inspiration
and my muse
I've looked for you always
A journey through
many harsh lands
Two sets of footprints
in place of one
now make impressions
upon the capricious
and transient canvas
of those ever-shifting sands
A beautiful verse and an interesting choice of imagery. I wonder if the figure you meet is actually you ... your future self.
Chanti, the poetry and artwork combine to create a very unique rendition of a poem I hold very near to my heart, “Foot Prints.” Throughout ones lifetime, there are many changes which are inevitable, for if one is to be able to blossom into the true being that the one and the Creator has chosen for ones destiny, then the journey is worth the time and effort it takes. However, unfortunately some find the struggle not worth the effort nor are they willing to allow or help comfort another while they try and reach for their full potential. Too many are left scratching their heads, while those willing to give the space and support necessary, will also bask in the radiance of the one reaching for the hand to achieve a better life, and then create two sets of prints that shall walk through eternity. Thank you for sharing your remarkable talent and timeless treasures my gifted friend. Take care and be well.
Once again, "the notorious tracker" has almost succeeded in keeping me away from your new postings. I don't know what is going on in the
Den...but I do know this:
There is still a catch in my heart as I read this for the fourth or fifth time...and will read it over and over again.
It is one of the most beautiful pieces of romantic verse I have read
in a long, long time! A luscious tribute!
The graphic is stunning, too. How I would love to see your studio, Chanti.
Your work is as beautiful as you are...and that Bio pic proves it.
What's interesting about footprints on the beach, is that they get so worn away you have trouble telling which way they were going.
Chanti,
A gorgeous write filled with deep compassion and soul searching ... complimented with a beautiful picture and wonderful title (reminds me of "Footprints in the Sand"). Absolutely stunning!!
Think of this thing you have written, for this is what its message was to me:
Sand and shoreline never argue over personal space.
Thanks for the awakening Sis. Chanti, and blessin's to you,
