Looking for answers when your back is against the wall? It is not desire but faith that will provide the answers.
Life can be so frightening
and at times you may feel small
but don't give up the fight
when your back's against the wall
There HAS to be a way
even when you can't conceive
You WILL find an answer
even when you can't believe
What a difference one day makes
Everything can turn around
Try to remember it isn't over
until you're buried in the ground
Because as long as you have blood
coursing through your veins
the battle isn't over
though you've let go of the reins
So, when you're in a helpless state
and your troubles are closing in
And when the wolf is at the door
and even friends say you can't win.
Don't listen to all that clamor
and to voices filled with doubt
Because if you get stuck in negatives
You're unlikely to get out
Just do all that you can do
and keep your eyes above the storm
Don't focus on the lightening
and the thunder clouds that form
Though powerless and frightened
and unsure of where to turn
Of one thing be quite certain
there are lessons you will learn
And all of this will pass
As the storm clouds roll away
And you'll look back on this time
and then I know that you'll say:
"I believe in miracles,
I've been a witness to a few,
and I'm a good example
that faith will take you through."
Oh yes...i have learned to "believe" as i have experienced the awesome wonders and gifts of God when I let go, stop being concerned, and wait with excited anticipation at the next wonder to behold around the next corner, next moment, the next space and time.
Life is so awesome, extraspecially when we "let go and let God"
Your pen, thou doth wield, like Da Vinci a brush. You blend words into colors, so rich and so plush. The images you paint are pleasingly real, thus the verses you pen, I can see, and can feel. It’s quite plain to see, talented poet and scribe, alas what you write, in my mind comes alive.

Poet, I believe that without having a belief in ones natural ability, one can easily become overwhelmed by the daily struggles that are placed upon one. Yes, I also believe in miracles, yet many times they are created by ones own ability to hunker-down and move beyond the confines of ones inner struggles and turmoil. There are also many miracles if one takes the time to look around for them. An exceptional piece of well-crafted poetry, for an exceptional lady who deserves it. Thanks for sharing it. Bless you, dear heart! I wish the best for you and your friend you mentioned. There are many strong personalities in the world, but the strongest of these are ones who lean on God for answers, rather than themselves.
You seem to be such a person. May you and your friend achieve fine health, and much happiness.
This is a poem that needs to be told again, and again; a moving, powerful story of overcoming seemingly impossible odds...however, we know that with God, ALL things are possible. My prayers are with Tammy, as well as you--
Miracles do happen and as you quite rightly point out most are born of a faith in oneself as well as the spiritual. You are a wonderful and true friend that is a miracle with it's self. Our thought's and wishes are with Tammy.

I often think foreward and, as a Survivor, I was certain I'd look back upon this time and say 'I don't know how I got through it, but I did.' But I already realize what it is that I'll say: I had the amazing support and love of a very special friend. (smiles)
Dearest Chanti. I can only hope you are right because so much of what you express in these verses "fit" the mold for me right now. You are a source of inspiration and strength for me and, I am certain, for many others. Your friend is most fortunate to have you on her side.
