Thunder growled menacingly As lightning scrawled graffiti across the sky The streets became mirrors reflecting myriad colors like Afremov paintings She barely noticed as she walked on by Her heart, was shattered, like crystal. Broken into a million pieces Crushed underfoot, and scattered upon the ground. But when the storm was over He picked each piece up and threw them into the night as stars It's so much brighter now... © Chanti 2019
