God, Guns, and Freedom

I am but an American proud and true ,
born and bred in this land, our home,
freedom reigns beneath skies of blue,
where spirits are free to live and roam.

I do admit I carry a gun wherever I go,
for evil lurks, in the power and greed,
when there is a problem, you’ll know,
never to be seen, unless there is a need.

I believe in God, in the Heavens above,
Bill of Rights, and for which they stand,
family, friends, love, the peace of a dove,
the pride of the U.S.A., within our land.

I don’t believe in war, but ready to fight,
to protect our liberties, we hold so dear,
our flag in the breeze, a profound sight,
symbolizing the freedoms we keep near.

Ideals of liberty found within our hearts,
so much stronger than just mere illusions,
gone in an instant, if we give them a start,
don’t get lost in the rhetoric and confusion.
