Mirrors never lie,
Mirrors never betray,
Mirrors are never on the sly,
Mirrors reflect truth on display.
When mirrors reflect an image,
They neither add nor take away.
The days will compound
Into millions of years.
The mirror will always display,
And never give itself away.
Why can’t we be like mirrors,
Why can’t we never lie,
Why can’t we never betray,
Why are we always on the sly,
Never reflecting truth on display?
Why do we add and take away?
The days will compound
Into millions of years.
Humanity’s true nature will never fade,
It always manages to give itself away.
Life is a circle. what you sow you will reap. My mom used to tell me to be careful what I did cause it would come back to me and to be careful what I said because sometimes things said in anger can be forgiven but they will never be forgotten.
Before mirrors, I wonder if people went down to take a drink in a pool of water and saw the truth in it?
I'm told that we tell lies, at least initially, to protect someone from being hurt by the truth. That results in telling another lie, and so forth, until we all lie, a little bit, or a lot, depending on our character.
