I
The true jihad
Seldom understood
The battle of the soul
Waged under a hood
The battle grows cold
As infancy becomes old
People now reluctant to struggle
In dread of what they will find out
For fear of what they will know
For fear of what they do not know
About their true selves,
Who they really are
Up close, not from afar
Of lying and dishonesty
Jealousy and deceit here to stay
These scars will never go away.
II
Why are we useless and ineffectual
Why do we feel sorry for ourselves
A dull blade right up to the hilt
We do nothing our indifference to gilt
And what about our little fears
A constant companion thru the years
Leading us back in arrears
Into the gorge of a canyon in tears
Hypocrisy happily paints its mask
To cover the corruption of its face
But hesitates in its climb
Up the first step of the fight
Two faces under one hood
Are looking out for no good
They discourse as shadows
In the night of their life.
II
The only citadel lies within
Ignorance our true sin
A tower of knowledge
Worth the arduous climb
A blame-worthy soul
Broken, not whole
Holding us back on earth
From the time of our birth
The jihad is not the desire to kill
All infidels for some cheap thrill
The true jihad is a mountain to climb
To finally unveil the mystery of the Sublime.
D.L. MOODY, THE NOTED BIBLE SCHOLAR ONCE SAID, "I HAVE NEVER MET A PERSON WHO HAS GIVEN ME SO MUCH TROBULE AS MYSELF." WE, INDEED, ARE OUR WORST ENEMIES. I AM THE FIRST TO ADMIT THAT THE 'CLIMB' IS TOO MUCH FOR ME, I'VE GIVEN UP ON IT. I HAVE ACKNOWLEDGED THIS AND HAVE BECOME SILENT, STEPPED BACK AND SURRENDERED THE REINS OF MY LIFE. THEREFORE, THOUGH I CANNOT YET UNDERSTAND IT, I AM ENABLED TO PRESS FORWARD RIDING, NOT ON MY STRENGTH, BUT BY THE POWER OF THE UNVELED MYSTERY OF THE SUBLIME...GOD! YES, THE ONLY CITADEL! THANK YOU! I ENJOY 'YOU' SO VERY MUCH. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS
this subject has two readings in Koran: one is spiritual, another is brutal. The former is easy to discourse but hard to put into practice, while the latter is imperative for all those (overwhelming majority) who, because of the global policy under the name of 'democracy,' are not going 'to climb up the mountain of the Sublime.' It is good to remind here that some nine centuries ago the crusaders came to take Jerusalem but were defeated at the end of the day; today the refuges from the Middle East adapt to Europe within the framework of the holy war. . . "History, you teach us nothing. . ." -- Sting.
There is something about strong religious beliefs that tends to defy logical, rational thought, leading to a battle within. By avoiding religion altogether and weighing my actions against ethical behavior, I do not have that battle and do not seek any mountaintop salvation.
It may be that "The true jihad is a mountain to climb," John, but those murderous bastards believe that mountain is the non-believers of Islam. Bit by bit they are attempting to scale that mountain made of flesh and bone.

In the Whirlwind is a poetic storm that frees history from the cages of corruption and puts it in the hands of everyday people. Words are weaved into a new fashion statement that has nothing to do with runways but everything to do with projects!
