In keeping with popular wisdom,
We assign things to God’s kingdom.
Not all truths held are explicable;
Some truths are truly inexplicable.
We like to consider truth a handle,
Like the light shining from a candle.
Illumination does seem close at hand,
Even if we don’t always understand.
Enough to know that truth is there,
It gives of itself and is willing to share.
And contrary to popular wisdom,
Some facts belong to this kingdom.
The explicable is not always true ;
They go against all that God knew.
We like to consider facts as a handle,
Like solid feet tucked into a sandal.
Practical facts display artful utility,
Perform wonders with their ability.
It’s not enough to know how to fly;
We need to lift the blue of the sky.
Conclusion: Facts may lead to untruths;
Truths will lead to the inexplicable truth.
Most rely on authority to verify truth. The use of the scientific method, even in the case of human behavior, as revealed some shocking truth that authority had long denied. While all things cannot be verified by scientific method, neither can they be verified by claiming an authority like God. Especially when there is no proof of God anywhere to be found.
It's been averred that the fundament upon which all of our knowledge and learning rests is the inexplicable. Being grounded in Truth (for me) is the key; it makes the awesomeness of the incomprehensible slightly less intimidating. Enjoyed. r
