I leave you with one final poem as I take to the road again for the summer holidays and will be off-line for a few days until I reach my final destination in the US. If I am not able to give full justice to all your wonderful poems during my travels, please forgive my lack of diligence in giving feedback and making comments.
Me, You, We All Hide

Me, you, we all hide,
Snug in a blanket deep inside.
Not all the time, some of the time,
When the days find no true end rhyme.
We think we can meet all kinds of weathers,
More often than not, we just hang from tethers.
In our lonesome lives, dreams have their place,
Putting us to the front in life’s desperate chase,
To get ahead, to be successful, ultimately to win,
Only to realize that we have fallen down into a bin.
We welcome the moment when we are alone;
We need not hide, only pared back to the bone.
Then, we can crawl down to the core inside,
Wondering what it was that we had to hide.
THERE'S CERTAINLY NOTHING TO HIDE ABOUT THE DESIRE TO JUST...BE ALONE, SOMETIMES. OF COURSE, THE AMOUNT OF 'SOMETIMES' VARIES AS MUCH AS INDIVIDUALS DO. Finally, when i get a chance to get on AD, I find out you'll be gone for awhile. You're not hiding, are you? I hide out in my man cave, and sut the world out.
OKay, John, no hiding for you in a suitcase for your trip to the US. just because there is that travel ban, be safe in your travels,

One of my mottos is to keep a low profile! After years of a job having to wear a pager, have an answering service to reach me at any moment, working Christmas eves and new years eves for years, somebody always wanting something, I to this day don't like answering a phone. I loved it when texting came along as i could respond when I wanted to or ignore it altogether.

Oh! Aren't we the conquerers and damsels in distress or queens of the kingdom when we hide. When we "come to", perhaps a little less stressed, life is easier to take again for a while.
Interesting overview of a malady that impacts so many. As your last line implies, everyone has a "hide" element and many turn such a fear into self-loathing. It's not easy to let it all hang out, but if one reads your poem closely, they'll find there is perhaps more wisdom in the subtext than the text. Well done.
Perhaps "..Quiet Storm" will help rekindle old flames buried and long forgotten or express the love so deeply locked inside of your soul longing to be released.
