This was the day my heart caught fire;
This was the hour, raising flames of desire.
The stars cascade like summer rain shower,
Filling my heart with the perfume of a flower.
The disk of sun rose over the lip of my soul;
Throbs of light kept whispering stole, stole.
My heart stolen bought this feeling of bliss;
My beloved, there before me, always missed.
The fervor of brilliance filled me with its care,
Stoking red embers with the vehemence of prayer.
Whether it be in the brightest light of noontide,
Or the deepest night and its flood of moontide.
A saffron glow ascended into the upper azure,
A tidal flow of brilliance and light utterly pure.
Immense time as a wave with the power of the ages,
To flow forever across the surface of life’s pages.
My boat rose in the swell of an emerging emotion;
My soul responding in kind with simple devotion.
My life filled to the brim with this wondrous mist;
My days aglow in rain and shine if you get my gist.
The seconds of time live with such moments of breath;
Life’s endless beauty defies the single moment of death.
ETERNAL LOVE...IS 'NOT' AN ORDINARY LOVE, INDEED. I AM CONVINCED THAT IT WAS FORMULATED WITH THE LIKES OF A 'WRETCH LIKE ME' IN MIND. "HE LOVES ME!!!" AMEN. I WILL KEEP THIS, THANK YOU SO MUCH, DEAR JOHN. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS.
between the light of noontide and the dark flood of moontide we realize the deepest breath of life and the instant moment of death. . . such a beautiful discrepancy. Cheers, alex
