On Time
By John Herlihy

I am never on time
My life missing rhyme
I can’t get it together
To be punctual never
I am not accountable
But I am fashionable
Fashionable to be late
While others must wait
To be the first to arrive
No, I wouldn’t survive
Being late is my mate
Oh what a stylish date
The minutes of the hour
Each a miraculous flower
Empty seconds matter not
In the scale of what I’ve got
When I do come to die
I cannot question why
I will surely be on time
The appointment mine

INDEED, I TOTALLY AGREE. FOR DEATH IS THE ONE APPOINTED TIME 'NONE' WILL BE LATE IN KEEPING...AND THAT'S BECAUSE THE KEEPING OF IT IS COMPLETELY OUT OF OUR HANDS. THANKS FOR SHARING. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS

Just as our births happened at an exact precise moment-ordained by the Creator- so our deaths will be the same. During life; being on time, or being late, is only an estimation by comparison, not absolute or complete. Enjoyed. Light and Wisdom... r

Excellent points in this poem. It's always a GREAT time to be late and still feel right at home. I love to attend events where folks don't really mind what time you arrive. They are just very happy you made it safely. That's real friends! Amen

You certainly won't be late, on that important date, when your time is up. ;-)

Say Something Terrorible v3 by RickthePoetWarrior

My mom says ‘If you can’t say anything nice then don’t say anything’. Sorry mom but under the guise of poetic license I penned these beauties.
