HEART EMOTIONS
By John Herlihy
The human heart wants it all,
Before its desires it stands in thrall.
It dreads to find an obscure shame,
Abhors always taking the blame.
It welcomes all the human emotions,
That serve its needs as magic potions.
Love of course stands proudly at the fore,
To offer a peak from life’s bountiful store.
The heart as noble, proud, brave, sincere,
All of the emotions that we hold as dear.
Even pity and sorrow have a role to play,
True feelings all that keep despair at bay.
Whatever the emotions our hearts endure,
I treasure the intensity our emotions lure.
