In our fantastic age of exaggerated heights,
Looking down on humble sights.
In the all-encompassing world of #me-too,
As the pot simmers a bubbling stew.
In the competitive world of over-achievers,
Where are the simple believers?
In my cozy little nook, feeling all self-contained,
Content that I cannot be blamed.
In my cultivated garden where I can do no wrong,
I sit and listen to my little song.
In the fast-moving life we live laced with mystery,
I will accept my own destiny.
When forced to make a decision about what to do,
I summon everything I ever knew.
When nothing goes right in my darkest hour,
I fall back and rely on God power.
Give me a sense of normalcy and I will thank my stars,
An honest life we can claim as ours.
Let me take this moment to offer praise of normalcy,
Superheroes belong to a world of fantasy.

Today's traditional superheroes come from comic books, not great literature. Oversimplified, and often, single-purposed unlike real humans.
I'm with you. It's much more fun and healthier to engage in real, normal activity, rather than spend your life in fantasy based on someone else's idea of cartoon life.
